We build it, then we keep it running.
Websites, and the software Kenyan businesses run their whole day on. Built in Nairobi, tested inside real businesses, supported on WhatsApp.
Built standing at a counter, not guessing at a desk.
I kept meeting business owners doing by hand what a computer should have been doing. A shop owner retyping the same Instagram post into her website. A gym owner scrolling WhatsApp to work out who had not renewed. A property team emailing their developer every time a new house came up. Good businesses, losing hours every week to work nobody should be doing.
So I started Essence Automations and began with websites. The websites worked, but the bigger problem was behind them: nothing was running the business itself. The systems on offer were built for supermarkets somewhere else, priced for somewhere else, and full of screens nobody here ever asked for.
So we changed how we build. Every Manager system we sell was built inside a real business first. Hardware Manager runs the counter at a working Nairobi hardware, and I have stood at that counter while it did. Shop Manager grew up inside real Nairobi shops. Gym Manager checks real members in every day. When you buy one, you are not buying an idea. You are buying the system another owner already trades on.
And we stay on. Most agencies hand over a website and disappear. Our clients message us on WhatsApp and a person answers, usually me. That is why the reviews further down this page keep saying the same thing about support.
The rules we build by.
Four things every client gets, whatever we build for them.
Built in a real business first
Every feature earned its place solving a problem an owner actually had that day, not one a developer imagined. If it did not help on a real shop floor, it is not in the system.
You own your system
Your own database, your own logins, and you can export everything to Excel whenever you like. Your data is yours on the way in and on the way out.
Plain words everywhere
Receipts say "you took" and "you paid". Screens say what they mean. Your staff learn the system in a day because nothing on it needs translating.
Support is a message, not a ticket
Something looks off? WhatsApp us and a person answers. No ticket numbers, no "our team will get back to you", no support queue in another country.
